In June 2021, the Eldorado Shopping Center reported multiple leaks, prompting PEAK Roofing & Construction to perform targeted repairs on the existing tar and gravel roof. However, as additional leaks emerged in different areas, it became clear that repairs were only a temporary solution.
We met with the property owner to discuss the best long-term option for protecting both the building and its tenants. After careful evaluation, we recommended a full roof replacement to ensure lasting reliability and watertight protection.
In 2022, we removed the aging tar and gravel roof and installed a fully adhered 60-mil TPO system over a ½” secure rock cover board.
Executing this project in a busy retail environment presented challenges, as we had to minimize disruption for both tenants and customers.
