Winter Activities in Frisco
In Frisco, we’re lucky that the weather doesn’t get too bad too often. We can still go outside in January without being miserable, and if we’re really lucky, we might even get a sunny and mildly warm day. Here at Peak Roofing & Construction, we would even say we lucked out with the best temps in the state year-round. So, in this blog post, we thought we’d mention a few things we like to do this time of year in Frisco. Our awesome winter weather allows us to do so!
Ice Skating
Although the Dr. Pepper Arena is often called StarCenter because the Dallas Stars practice there, it doesn’t mean it’s not open for public skating. Check the schedule online before you go, but be sure to go. Ice skating is a wintertime staple activity, so don’t miss out.
Texas Sculpture Garden
The Texas Sculpture Garden was a gift to Frisco in recent years, and it doesn’t disappoint. This lovely park – located near the Hall Office Park – features sculptures that amaze and interest, and each piece has its own placard which gives the explanation and origin of the artwork. Kids and adults alike will appreciate it. Hey, if we have any snow this month, maybe go to the garden shortly after that to see the sculptures covered in snow!
Frisco Discovery Center
On those not-so-fair weather days, have your family take a trip to the Frisco Discovery Center. This location offers various summer camps, but during the everyday schedule, it offers hands-on learning exhibits for kids of all ages. Just look at few reviews of this museum, most people have only good things to say and encourage the learning activities for kids.
In winter, there is no shortage of fun things to do in Frisco. And as the weather warms up, the possibilities of family fun just expand! Check back with the Peak Roofing & Construction team in the Spring for more fun Frisco activities! (972) 335-7325
