Springing Into Roof Maintenance
You’re already aware of the importance of proper maintenance for your roof, but do you know when you should schedule roof maintenance with Peak Roofing & Construction? Plenty of homeowners simply put off roof upkeep or think that their roof looks fine, which are mistakes that can result in a cave-in or expensive repairs later on. While you’re staying warm inside for the winter, make sure that your roof is ready for maintenance season.
Roof Renewal
Spring is the best time for roof maintenance. That’s especially true if you live in an area that receives a lot of moisture since that’s one of the main causes of roof failure. Spring is also a great time because it’s not too hot or too cold for our Frisco roofing company to thoroughly inspect your roof.
Maintenance Checklist
During your maintenance appointment, we will inspect certain areas of your roof, including:
- The ceiling of your home for stains and spots that could be an indication of water damage.
- Tiles and shingles to see if they’re cracking, missing or peeling. The shingles can also be cleaned of algae and moss if necessary.
- The skylight and chimney to make sure that the flashing connections are in good condition. The masonry joints of the chimney should also be thoroughly inspected for calcium deposits and damage.
- Gutters in order to make sure there’s no buildup or potential for leakage.
Winter is here in full force, but that doesn’t mean that it’s too early to start thinking about roof maintenance. Contact Peak Roofing & Construction today at (972) 335-7325 for more information about proper maintenance.
