Grateful and Thankful this Thanksgiving
This is one of my favorite blog posts each year. It’s an opportunity for Jeff and me to thank you, our customers and partners that support us all year long. Your loyalty and encouragement help us grow our business and inspire us to continue striving to be the best, most ethical roofing and construction company in the Metroplex.
With this year filled with uncertainty, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the big and small things in our lives. We asked our team to share a few things they are thankful for this year.
“I am thankful Peak gave me an opportunity to be a part of their sales team this year. These are life-changing decisions that occur every so often in someone’s life, and I’m glad they picked me. I am also thankful for the health of my family and friends during such difficult times. Nothing was guaranteed back in April, so I’m thankful for this opportunity.”
Max Maya, Inspector/Estimator, Dallas
“I am grateful for my health first and foremost. This year has been trying, to say the least, but I have spent more time with my wife and kiddo. I am eating healthier and working out. All around, I feel like a better, healthier person.”
Jared Bernstein, Inspector/Estimator, Dallas
“I am thankful we still live in a country where we are free to pursue our dreams, as so many around the world do not enjoy this freedom.”
Jimmy Smith, Inspector/Estimator, Dallas
“I am grateful for everyone on the frontlines. Even though the elections cast a large shadow on the pandemic, we cannot forget the hard-working men and women on the frontline working hard to heal us and keep us safe. Thank you for selflessly working around the clock to protect and care for us while risking your own lives in the process. May you know it in your hearts that you are loved and that you are the true heroes of 2020.”
Wes Hatch, Inspector/Estimator (Commercial & Residential), Dallas
“The many blessings I received in 2020 are what I’m thankful for. Despite the COVID atmosphere we are living in, I was also able to see my son have a ‘normal’ high school graduation ceremony. We also celebrated my daughter’s wedding reception (truly a blessing to gain a son-in-law).”
Cindy Cisneros, Office Manager, Dallas
“Running a small business during tough economic times is tough. I’m forever grateful to our loyal customers and their referrals. As a result, we did not have layoffs, and our team could continue to provide for their families. I’m thankful for the extra quality time I spent with Joey and our son, Nolan, including the extra time we spent doing things outdoors.”
Jeff Riss, President
I’ll end with my thoughts. During the start of the pandemic, I was extremely grateful for our awesome neighbors that banded together and quarantined to give our little kiddos some sense of normalcy. I also feel like it was a time for us to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life and not be so wrapped-up in social media, hurrying to the next thing, etc. Of course, I’ve been grateful for our health and time together as our son is seven and growing so fast!
As we get closer to the end of the year, our Peak family wishes you a warm and happy Thanksgiving. May the good things of life be yours in abundance, not only on Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year.
