Gutter Talk: Picking the Right Gutter Installer

gutter installer, gutter install near meWhen a good ‘ole Texas thunderstorm hits your home or business, you want to know your gutters are working well. If not, your landscaping may fall victim. Eventually, the residual water will pool around your foundation and potentially lead to flooding or other dangers. Even an inch of rain can do damage.

At Peak Roofing & Construction, we’re here to help you keep your property in good condition for your enjoyment as well as protecting your investment. So when you see signs of gutter issues like sagging or cracking, it’s time to take action. Small problems quickly become big ones when ignored. If gutters become clogged, backed-up water flow can find its way into your home’s structure. That water and moisture can lead to mold, mildew, and rotting. When untreated, the mold can take on a life of its own and eventually affect your air quality and even your health.

The solution is properly maintaining your gutters to avoid future problems.

It all Starts with Using a Reputable Gutter Installer.

Sadly, there is an issue in the Dallas – Fort Worth with dishonest gutter installers. I know this because it’s not uncommon for someone who was “messed over” by another gutter installer and needs advice (or a rescue) to give us a call.

The most common issues we see are material substitutions. People believe they will get a higher gauge metal than what the installer actually installs, and installers ask for money down and then disappear. Before you invest in a gutter replacement, you should be sure the company you choose will give you what you requested at the gutter replacement cost you agreed to pay.

Finding a reputable company for gutter installation is easier than you think. Start with asking trusted friends and your roofing company. If you decide to Google “gutter installation near me,” be sure to take the extra time to read the online reviews and contact their references. At Peak Roofing & Construction, we have our own gutter crews and seamless gutter fabrication truck, but not all companies do. We made this investment to provide customers with the same quality craftsmanship as we do for all our services.

In my next blog, I will provide additional information regarding things you should consider as you select the type of gutters you need and the company that will install them.
